MTWPAM follows the education standards of legislated jurisdictions in other provinces in Canada and requires 2200 hours of education in the profession of Massage Therapy from a Canadian school.
Any person who has received training which is less than 2200 hours (Canadian training) or training which has been obtained outside of Canada, please refer to the schools listed under Nova Scotia to have your education evaluated by the school to see what can or may be applied towards the completion of a Canadian 2200 hour diploma.
The following schools are arranged by region, province and by city. This list is not a complete list and is updated as information changes. These schools offer a program for Massage Therapy with a minimum of 2200 hours of education.
If you are applying and do not find your school listed please contact our Administration office with your school and training information to be submitted and approved.
If you have international training based in a 2200 hour program you may submit the schools information and your training to be approved by our Board.
Please note* some schools listed offer their 2200 hour programs in two levels. To have your program approved by us you need to have finished both years and components to receive a 2200 hour or higher diploma for recognition. Completing only one level can not be considered for entrance to MTWPAM.
Currently we have not approved 2200 hour schools listed in Quebec.
