Standards of Practice

Where Nova Scotia is not a regulated province for Massage Therapy or the Wholistic Practices MTWPAM supports and with no government regulation, often times there are no specific standards established for us to maintain or for the public to have confidence in the health care we provide.

MTWPAM’s membership has agreed to voluntarily establish practice standards based on the regulated provinces by which the treatments they provided and the business practices and ethics they adhere to are of the highest quality.

The public can have even more confidence they can receive safe and effective treatment and ethical business practices from MTWPAM therapists.

MTWPAM members can be confident they have guidelines and standards to rely upon and to create a safe and ethical practice.

Effective on April 13, 2014 the membership has implemented these Practice Standards which are available for review below.
