A. Membership Types Supported

Massage Therapist (MTs)

Requires 2200 hours from an accredited institution.
Eligible for Direct Billing with a Registrant Code.

Wholistic Practitioner (WPs)

Supported Modalities or < 2200 hours of massage therapy training from an approved educational institution.
Restriction: Cannot perform direct billing (eClaims).

Students & Associates

Student: FREE with proof of registration.
Associate: FREE non-voting membership for those in related fields or healthcare industry.

B. Application Checklist

Step 1: The Form

Complete the online application below.
Review Terms & Code of Ethics.

Step 2: Documentation

Transcripts & Graduation Diploma.
Valid First Aid Certification.
Criminal Record Check: Less than 6 months old. We recommend (My Back Check).
Insurance: Min $2M liability. More on Insurance Requirements. We recommend PHSG.

D. Payments and Fees

Payment Timing

Submit payment ONLY AFTER approval to ensure correct pro-rated amounts.

Fees & Methods

MTs: $125.00 | WPs: $100.00 (Annual). Pro-rated.
E-Transfer: payments@mtwpam.com
PayPal: Available via member portal and shown on invoice.

MTWPAM does not provide international credentialing. Use these verified services:

WES: World Education Services
NHPC: Equivalency Assessments

Important Warnings

Massage Therapist Title Protection Act: Review NS Bill 193.
MTANS Insurance: MTANS Insurance policies are NOT transferable.

Associate Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Individuals in the massage or healthcare industry who wish to stay apprised of events undertaken by MTWPAM.

Student Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Students must provide acceptance/registration from their educational institution.
